Meet the Founders

Deric

Deric D. Crisafi

Thank you for visiting our site. I’m a 50% owner of D&R Placements, Inc. I enjoy owning my own business and building great relationships across the country. It’s very rewarding for me to help medical professionals with their financing needs. I’ll exhaust every possible option in trying to get your deal funded. Finding a solution for something when there doesn’t seem to be one there is what makes the world go round.

I’ve been working in commercial medical financing for over 10 years. Throughout the years Rick and I have handled millions in commercial medical loan transactions. We will make your funding process as quick and seamless as possible.

My wife and I have been happily married since 2004. We met at Le Moyne College where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Marketing.  She currently is a CPA and has a very successful accounting job at a local company. We have a beautiful 5 year old daughter for whom we spend many evenings at dance or gymnastics classes. She’s our star!

My main hobbies come in the form of athletics. I wanted to be a major league baseball player when I was younger but my baseball career ended when I graduated college. My years of playing division 1 baseball gave me great experience in working hard and as a team. I wouldn’t change a thing. Now I have taken my competitive athletic nature to the softball field where I play a couple times a week throughout the spring and fall and to the indoor athletic complex where I play flag football throughout the winter months. As I get older, my body doesn’t keep up with what my mind is telling it to do but it is still fun regardless!

I am also a 50% owner of D&R Placements, Inc. After achieving a Bachelor’s degree, with a double major in Finance and Economics, from Le Moyne College in 2000, I entered into the world of medical professional financing. I learned a great deal while cutting my teeth in this niche and eventually decided it is the field that I wanted my career to be in. Throughout our years at Le Moyne, Deric and I had always talked of some day having our own business. D&R became just that in 2006. Since then we have helped a multitude of medical professionals with millions of dollars in financing needs. As many medical professionals know, running your own business has many challenges, but at the end of the day being able to have a business run under your own high standards is much more rewarding than working under someone else’s.

I have been blessed with a wonderful family! My wife, Kristin, and I have been friends since we were teenagers. In 2008 we were married and in 2012 we had our first child, Hannah. There is nothing better than watching your own child grow and develop. Everyone told me it would go by quickly, but you don’t really understand it until you experience it. Hannah has brought more joy to my life than I could have ever imagined. If all goes as planned, we would like to have another child in the next couple of years. We have yet to decide if our next will be our last.

I am one of five children which has provided me with many nieces and nephews whose lives I have always been and continue to be a big part in. Now Hannah is one more in the ever growing pack of kids at family functions. All three of my sisters, my sister in-law, my mother, and my grandmother are or were Nurses and my wife is a Nurse Practitioner. I guess maybe it’s no coincidence that I brought my financing knowledge and abilities to the medical field. My brother is currently serving in the U.S. Army. He has done three tours in Iraq and is currently in Korea where he is a Warrant Officer piloting Apache Helicopters.

I was always involved in athletics while growing up. I still play some softball and golf but the rest of my athletic career has passed me by, except for showing my nephews a few of “Uncle Rickey’s” patented moves on the basketball court and passing on whatever other knowledge I have gained throughout the years. I have always been and still am an avid outdoorsman. I enjoy most anything outdoors related including camping, snowmobiling, skiing, fishing, hunting, hiking, and boating. These days it is hard to find time for outdoor activities, but in some ways, when I do find time, it is that much better.

I intend to continue growing and sustaining D&R with good, honest lending and hope to be able to help you in the near future.
